Patrick S. McGinnis

As a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers field biologist, wetland specialist, recreation planner, wildlife biologist and operational project manager, Patrick has sought sustainable solutions to water resource management. He has specialized in natural resource management, riparian corridor master planning, environmental compliance, restoration science and stewardship of public open spaces. For 20 years he led the building of a 110,000-acre living laboratory that connects visitors to the Mississippi River at the Upper Mississippi and Lower Illinois Rivers confluence. Patrick works to utilize natural capital with Federal program managers at the nexus of water-energy-food security. His focus now is revitalizing communities; rural investments; and brownfields to repurpose troubled sites. Certified as a Wildlife Biologist, Patrick is a member of the American Water Resources Association, American Planning Association and Society of Wetland Scientists. He is currently Senior Advisor for Water Resources Policy and Practice for THG Advisors.
